Love the locking lid and choice of settings both time and temperature and the keep warm feature. It does get very hot on low and liquid often boils. Cooks faster than expected but very happy with this purchase. Crockpot cooking is the best.
I ordered the Cook's digital crockpot/ slow cooker in red, online, from my local store. The shade of red is true, neither orangish nor bluish, and has an effect of deep sparkles. I followed the instructions about pre-washing and pre-heating water. Then I used the cooker to make a chicken dish with potatoes and carrots, cooking on "low" for five hours, then automatically moving to the "warm" setting. The chicken was tender, and the vegetables were cooked through, yet retained their shape, with no mushiness. It will hold the food on "warm for up to four hours after cooking on high or low. My granddaughter used it to take a large batch of chili to work and keep it warm for a potluck dinner. Both of us were impressed with the secure closure, which has a tight-fitting silicone gasket around the lid, and two stretchable silicone anchors on the handles that hook over metal loops on the ends of the lid. It's easy to wash the lid and ceramic pot, and to wipe the cooker clean. I'm very happy with this purchase.
