I recently purchased my first Kitchenaid Professional 600 Series 6 Quart Mixer. I grew up having one in the house. My mom used a slightly smaller tilt model that she got from her mom to make everything from cookies to mashed potatoes. I always enjoyed watching her use and couldn't wait to have one of my own. After getting married recently, my wife and I decided we really wanted to have a Kitchenaid mixer in our kitchen. We opted for the larger size to give us more options for bigger batches in the future. We love the red color and display our mixer on the countertop. It really pops in our kitchen. I have used the mixer a number of times to make cookie batters. I realized almost instantly how easy the mixer was to use and was relieved to not have to mix the batter by hand. My wife use it practically everyday, it handles the biggest jobs I can throw at it - including quadrupling cookie dough recipes for Christmas. We love that we can add attachments to it - and love the sausage stuffer attachment the most.I am looking for a number of new recipes and other ideas to use my mixer. I look forward to making doughs and more desserts in the near future. I am really happy with my purchase and know that it will last me a long time.
