I kept my eye on this watch for a good time. When it went on sale I could not resist the appreciation in using my JCPenney Credit Card. The extra savings and the deferred promotional payment plan was simply icing on the cake. In the photos I had questioned the choice in design - - the thin black second hand and the black lines at the end of the hour and minute hand. After actually seeing the watch I realized the overall definition as a quest for the best precision in time keeping. Silently. the second hand hits every minute mark. The white/silver minute marks appear as if they are actually floating inside the watch; it is a subtle illusion but it really illustrates the highly sculpted like details put into the face of the watch. Looking at the movement and the 3 dimensional watch design I can kind of see the resemblance to the design of an actual satellite. The watch band and the case are made out of the new Super Titanium. Unlike other titanium watches that only harness the light weight metal, this watch is actually scratch resistant and 5 times harder than steel. Hidden, the clasp has an extra feature to help tighten the bracelet, up to 1/4" or 1/2 a link. This is done by simply squeezing the two clasp side buttons and sliding excess bracelet into a compartment inside the clasp itself. It makes for a more perfect fit around the wrist. The glow set on the arms and minute mark do not last very long after being exposed to light. The exchange for this is for a mirror finish silver minute marks and faceted silver arms that captures and reflect light from even in the dimmest of atmospheres. It is easy to see the arms this way and even tell the time beneath a star lit sky. This is a beautiful watch and with its resemblance to the design characteristics of a satellites is simply like a souvenir of our times. The satellite watch setting is quite animated and amazing to see first hand. This Citizen watch has easily become my favorite watch to wear, even at home with nobody around
