"Looks good, works good, but broke in a week. Heard a small pop and it wouldn't work anymore. I think it broke the heating coil. Returned to a JC Penney store and they had a new one shipped to our home. Now I am waiting to see how long this one lasts. Hoping it is a one time deal on the breakage.
Really like the looks and functions of the kettle. Beats using an electric coffee pot to make tea hands down.
If the replacement lasts a year or two I would raise the durability rating to a 4. Luv green tea this Kettle makes getting the water to the right temp easy.

"We love our kettle. We've had it for about a year and the kids love it because they can make hot chocolate that won't burn their mouths and we love it because we can get the perfect temp for tea. When I have to boil water, for pasta I boil it in the kettle rather than the pot and it is so fast!"
